Collective Intimacy.
Prada's traveling private members club, Prada Mode, touched down in London during Frieze Week. For its LDN iteration, the club featured Theaster Gates' Black Image Corporation—which explored cultural languages of African American identity, through the lens of Johnson Publishing Company archives.
Taking place at The Vinyl Factory's 180 Studios on The Strand, VF's collaboration encompassed multi-faceted content, a pop-up radio station, DJ sets, and live events that echoed Gates' show across the Black British diaspora. This spanned 2 days and 32 hours with Prada, followed by consecutive weekends for the remainder of the month in tandem with Gates.
Responsibilities included: creative direction, copywriting, music programming, radio, live events, playlists, editorial, and social content.
